Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... I did not want to go back to work today after my three-day weekend.

2. The truth is... You could tell that I didn't want to go back because my lesson today in class was not that great. I'm hoping that it will pick up tomorrow.

3. The truth is... all my students wanted to know where I was yesterday. I didn't tell them. Was that a bad idea?

4. The truth is... My birthday wasn't the best. I'm surprised that I got something done. I will admit that I was very excited to see my family!

5. The truth is... Josh started working for Toyota last Wednesday. He likes his job but comes home really tired. Hopefully that will change once he gets used to it. The bad part of his job is that he now works Saturdays :(.

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... I finished a project that I have been dreaming about doing for almost a year. Pathetic.. I know. I just don't have much time. Having an extra day in the weekend really helped.

2. The truth is... that I probably shouldn't admit it but I love watching Jack Jack wear "the cone of shame" because he runs into everything! It's so funny!

3. The truth is... We took Jack Jack to the vet yesterday just to get a check-up (it was free because we bought him at the pound). He's healthy... except he was licking himself and he now has in infection where the stitches are. So it wasn't free after all. We had to pay money for some medicine.

4. The truth is... Josh and I thought we were ready for kids. Come to find out... we are not. (Sorry for those of you who thought it was close... we still have a few years).

5. The truth is... Josh starts a new job tomorrow! He is working at a Toyota dealership. (I hope he gets a discount.)

Jack Jack

Jack Jack has now been with us a couple of days. We still love him and he's finally starting to show how much he loves us. We haven't seen much of a personality in him quite yet but we figure that it is because he is getting used to living with us. He was at the pound for about 3 weeks before we got him, so it will probably be a few more days. He does smell a little weird but since he just got fixed we cannot wash him for another week or so. You should see him with "the cone of shame" on... especially when we put it on him the first time. I'll try to get a picture up of that. We keep it off when we are awake (and home) but we put it on at night and while we are away so he doesn't lick his stitches. He has come really well trained so that makes life easy on us when we go to work. Anyway... enjoy the pictures of our new addition! Hopefully more will come as the days go on.

New Family Member

I almost hate to admit it but I am not talking about the many family members that are pregnant and now having babies. I will admit that I cannot wait for Karen to have Kameron. I love being able to hold babies! It makes me want one though... which is bad since Josh and I are not ready for one yet. That should make you guess that we are NOT PREGNANT! However, we do have a new member in the Hoffman Family. We got a dog.
Josh and I have been going to the pound for about a month now looking at all of the cute dogs they have there. Well, yesterday we found "the one" that I could not get over. Josh went and bought him today and we can pick him up tomorrow. Pictures will come, trust me. We named him Jack Jack and he is a really cute dog. He's about one years old and he's small but not annoyingly small (I hate small dogs). Anyway, I will post pictures when we bring him home tomorrow!

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... last week was parent teacher conferences. That should explain the invisible post last week.

2. The truth is... Josh might be getting a job at a Toyota dealership.

3. The truth is... If Josh gets the job at Toyota, I'm hoping he gets a discount (my Highlander might be in view).

4. The truth is... We booked our hotel room for Disneyland the other day. I'm so excited!!! (4 1/2 weeks until we leave!)

5. The truth is... my birthday is in two weeks. I'm taking the day off because I don't want to see my students. I want to go over to Wendi's and scrapbook. (Is that bad?)
