1. The truth is... I'm really getting sick of my second hour students. The best part is that they are the students that I get to test for AIMS!
2. The truth is... I got a new car on Friday. I love it! I'll try to post pictures as soon as possible. I was scared to get it at first but I love my new car!
3. The truth is... I actually made it through my first week of my SEI class. Let's see if I can make it through another 7 more weeks!
4. The truth is... I stress out way too easy. It's not a very good thing.
5. The truth is... I'm really excited because I get to help cook part of Sunday's dinner! The married grand kids rarely get to do it and I am excited to be part of the help for a change!

Some Good News!
There are two items that are up for good news today! Here we go!
1.) We got our copy of Fablehaven: Keys to the Demon Prison today. Josh just read the first chapter. I'm totally excited to revisit Fablehaven but I am also sad that it is the last book. I wonder how it ends.

2.) I've been worried over the past couple of weeks. Because of Arizona's budget crisis, schools have been needing to get rid of teachers. Last year my school was ok, but this year we didn't get away so well. So, right before Spring Break my principal mentioned that she had to cut 5 teachers. I was worried... everyone was worried because she wasn't going to cut only first year teachers. Anyway, I got the notice today that I STILL HAVE A JOB! I also found out that I am going to continue teaching 6th grade. YEA! My mentor and I are going to try to see if I can move in the room that (probably) opened up next to her. That way we can see each other more often and not have to walk across the whole school. I know, we are lazy. The worst part about the whole deal is that my classroom neighbor is getting cut. I really do love working with him and I will miss him greatly. However, I am excited to keep my job... at least for another year!

Tuesday Truths
1. The truth is... I cannot wait to go to Disneyland this fall! It can only be better with kids. At least we need to hope that it is better!
2. The truth is... we found a car we want to buy. We are trying to get everything situated right now. It is a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox. It's blue... and very pretty.
3. The truth is... only 47 more days left until the school year ends. My dad says that I shouldn't be counting down. TOO BAD!!! I AM!!!
4. The truth is... Jack Jack is a crazy dog. I try to video some of the crazy things he does but when I start he stops. I'll get him someday and post the video
5. The truth is... I sometimes get jealous of people who constantly have a TON of comments on their blog. It makes me feel like a loser because I rarely have some.

Disenyland!
Getting out and actually going on a vacation was great! It has been our first one.... EVER! Unless you count family trips vacation (which I don't) then it wouldn't be. This one didn't turn out too bad. Josh and I really enjoyed ourselves and Jack Jack enjoyed playing with other dogs. (Jack Jack stayed with Josh's mom.) The whole time we were at Disneyland we were talking about our trip in October. Yes, we are hopefully going again during October break. The only difference (and huge difference)is that my whole family is coming. There are 10 adults and 8 kids. That is a huge group. I'm sure the kids will have fun but I'm afraid they will complain a lot as well. Anyway, here is a brief synopsis of what we did each day with some pictures (if any) included.
Monday: On Monday we mostly traveled. We left around 8:00 AM and arrived around 2:30. On the way out we stopped at this really cool place with HUGE dinosaurs. You can actually walk into one of them and there is a gift shop inside. How cool is that??? I really enjoyed it and I think that is a place we will HAVE to stop in October. The kids will love it! When we arrived in Anaheim, we couldn't quite check into out hotel. We went and walked around Downtown Disney. It is just a bunch of shopping and restaurants. It's a nice, fast, and free thing to do. Once we finished that we just checked into the hotel and stayed there the rest of the night. We were tired!
At the dinosaur place that we stopped at that was awesome!
Shopping at Downtown Disney. I'm obsessed with fat stuffed animals so I had to get a picture with them. They are really cute... don't you think?
I think that these would work for the game Monster hands that Evan plays. They are from the Nightmare Before Christmas.
Tuesday: Tuesday was mostly dedicated to Disneyland. We got onto pretty much every ride we wanted except Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, and the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. WE could have gone one more rides and stayed longer but by 3:30PM we were both really tired (and hot). We went back to the hotel to cool down and then went to visit Josh's uncle that lives about 20 minutes away. I've never met him so he thought that we should go since we were nearby. We didn't get back until 9:30 and just went to bed.
Me completely soaked after Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash Mountain. I was in the front for both of those rides. How did I manage to get so lucky? I don't know!
Josh with the Lochness Monster in the It's a Small World ride. You can kind of see the Lochness behind him.
Me playing the piano at Mickey's house in Toon Town.
Wednesday: Since we had park hopper passes we had to take advantage. Wednesday Morning we went over to Disneyland (it opens before California Adventure) and went on the Indiana Jones and Matterhorn. By that time California Adventure was opening up. We got some fast pass tickets for Soaring over California then went to the huge roller coaster. I really enjoyed it but Josh found out he can't do roller coasters anymore (which means in October we are probably going to stick with the little kids). We then walked around, went shopping, and then went to use our fast passes. If you ever go to California Adventure you have to go to Soaring over California because it is so cool! Then we went and saw Turtle Talk with Crush (Evan's best friend plays Crush so we had to go) and then the Muppets in 3D. Those were our favorite parts. Aroudn 12:30PM we went back to the hotel (we didn't do much in California Adventure) and rested. We went back to Disneyland for night life later. We were able to go on the Finding Nemo Submarine Adventure and then went to Pirates again. We wanted to go on all the Fantasyland rides but they shut down at 8:00. It sucked. We did still have fun though.
Me with the Caterpillar from A Bug's Life eating candy corn in a corn field.
The Castle at night. I haven't cleaned it up yet so it isn't the best picture.
Me next to the door to the hidden bar at Disneyland. I heard about it on the radio and I had to find them and get a picture. We went back a second time just for the picture (and the ride is cool too!
Thursday: We were going to use our Magic Morning passes on Thursday but we just wanted to get home. I missed my puppy. We packed up and left at 7:30. It was a boring day, except that we went car shopping when we got home and we think we found a new car for me. I'll keep you posted on that adventure!
We saw a lot of these on the drive. Maybe someone can explain to me... what is the point of a rest stop when it is closed?
A picture of my cute puppy... just for good measure.

All hope dies with a Highlander
Yes, those are my words... no one else has put those into my mouth (or computer). Most people know that I have been dreaming of a Toyota Highlander for a few years now. I've been in love with them probably as long as I have known Josh. I will now admit that my love for the highlander has currently diminished. Here's what happened.
Josh and I have decided that I need a new car. Let's face it... my car is a piece of poop (sorry for the language) and if we are ever going to have a family and go out of town with them, we will need a new car. So, we have been car shopping since... yesterday. We went to the bank and got pre-approved for a loan and talked to a guy there that will assist us in finding a car for a good price. We told the guy that we were looking at a Pontiac Torrent and a Toyota Highlander. Well, he mentioned the Chevrolet Equinox and we went to test drive a 2009 Equinox. Can I just say... it was amazing! We didn't buy it though because it was higher than what we wanted. Anyway, we went today to look at a Torrent today and it was the same as an Equinox... except the front wasn't as nice. We also looked at a Highlander. Let's just say, if I were to get a Highlander then there would by little room in the back seat for kids. Now all my hopes of getting a Highlander has currently died and we are looking at purchasing an Chevrolet Equinox. Let's just hope we find one!
On a side note: TWO MORE NIGHT SLEEPS UNTIL OUR DISNEYLAND ADVENTURE BEGINS!!!!

Tuesday Truths
1. The truth is... Josh and I are looking at buying a new car. My car sucks. We have a couple in mind that will be great when we have kids. The main two are the Toyota Highlander and the Pontiac Torrent. What do you think?

2. The truth is... I've already checked out for the week. I don't really blame my students.... although I expect them to work because I have to.
3. The truth is... I'm sick about hearing about the AIMS test and how they are soon approaching. I'm starting to really feel the pressure.
4. The truth is... Josh says that work is getting better. I hope so... because I wouldn't want to work if I really hated my job. (I will admit that on occasion I do.)
5. The truth is... in a week we will be in Disneyland! I cannot wait!

A new garage door: $700
A new garage door motor: $300
Labor: 5 1/2 hours and finding a lot of stupid mistakes
Being able to (barely) park one car in the garage: PRICELSS
Yes, we got our garage door fixed today. It is so awesome to be able to make it go up with the push of a button and not a lot of hard labor. It is so cool! I'm totally excited to be able to finally park my car in the garage. We found one big mistake: my car barely fits due to all the stuff that is currently in it. Hopefully when we decide to get a new car the new one will fit. I'm thinking that over the next few days (I mean months or years) it will be somewhat organized and there will be enough room for me to fit with room for me to walk (with groceries) into the house. We'll see what happens. As of right now... I'm just excited to be able to park in it when the summer comes!

Tuesday Truths
1. The truth is... I didn't know that dogs really buried bones. Jack Jack buried one of his outside... I won't let him take the new one outside.
2. The truth is... 8 days left until Spring Break. Whose counting?
3. The truth is... 12 days until we leave for Disneyland. I know, I'm totally excited. HEY! Josh is just as excited.
4. The truth is... we are getting our garage fixed on Friday. It is going to cost us just over $1,000. It's a good thing we get paid on Friday too!
5. The truth is... I start a new class in about three weeks to complete my SEI training for my REAL teaching certificate. I'm a little nervous about juggling that and teaching at the same time. Wish me luck!
