Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... Josh and I are going to take Panda Express to my dad tonight. My mom is in Eagar helping Karen with her kids. When mom is out of town, we always treat him to Panda Express. I can't wait!

2. The truth is... the AIMS test is in 8 (school) days. AHH!! Not enough time to cram!

3. The truth is... Josh and I are going to get our end-of-the-month treat tonight. We are going to Golden Spoon tonight because it is two stamp Tuesday AND we have a coupon that expires on Thursday. We are going to put it in the freezer and eat it on Friday. It won't be as good, except that I can eat desserts again!

4. The truth is... It's shedding season for Jack Jack. Bring on the floor (as well as my clothes) covered with hair. Bleh! I hate being covered with hair. It is worth it for such a cute puppy!

5. The truth is... 42 days! I now think that I am just as bad as the students!

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... My back hurt this morning so bad I wanted to cry. I could barely move!

2. The truth is... I think that I had kidney stones. My back doesn't hurt anymore and hasn't since I used the restroom before class started this morning.

3. The truth is... You don't need 5 vacation days to do something. You only need two, the other three are to relax.

4. The truth is... Josh and I have been trying to not eat sweets the whole month. I accidentally ate something on March 3rd BUT since then I haven't had any. It's been tough, but I THINK I might make it. It has now been 19 days for me. YES! I'm dieing!

5. The truth is... 47 days. I'm sure you can guess what I'm counting down until.

Spring Break

I will admit that it is a little pathetic when the first pictures you take of the year are in March. Oh well. I am also going to apologize that most of them are sideways. My photo editor is no longer on my computer. That is what happens when someone messes with your computer all the time to improve it. Anyway... Spring Break was great! I really wanted to go on a trip somewhere but we couldn't find anyone to watch Jack Jack so we didn't leave. We ended up picking up Josh's little brother and sister and hung out with them for three days. It was a lot of fun. We don't get to see them that often and who knows when we will see them next time since they are moving. We did a lot with them. One of the activities was catching them up on the Harry Potter movies. Megan hadn't seen the fifth, sixth, or first part of the seventh so we did that. We also went bowling. Josh and I have never gone with each other. I know, its been almost seven years and we've never gone bowling. We did have a lot of fun. Josh, of course, won every game.
I wasn't as bad as I thought I was. Could I have done better. Yes! I can play a lot better on the Wii! Josh got payback for winning all three games; he really hurt the next day.
Josh with his game-winning ball.
After Chris and Megan left we went to Home Depot and bought a few things. We bought a new shed to put tools for the backyard in. Josh did most of the work putting it together. I only helped a little.
Josh next to the shed. He's so proud of it! He cannot wait to find a lawnmower to put in it.
We also got a patio table set for the outside. We set that up also. I'm so excited because now I have somewhere to sit when I just want to go outdoors. I'm also excited to invite some people over for a BBQ. Hopefully it doesn't get too hot too fast!
I found one that I liked for a good price. It is amazing! (I was really picky.)
That's pretty much most of our Spring Break. I also got to relax and did a little bit of sewing. A few weeks ago we went out to my parents house and we built Jack Jack a house for outside. Thanks dad for helping us! It is actually more of a mansion for him. He doesn't go in it much but I think that he will once he gets used to it.
Us in front of Jack Jack's mansion. My dad was very picky on everything. He even lent us some leftover roofing from his shop!
We also played a lot with our little puppy and took him on plenty of walks. Who can deny his cute face? We also discovered his love for chasing birds this week. We actually think he caught one and ate it!
SO CUTE!!!
OH! I almost forgot to mention... we have grass. We don't have a lot yet but its growing. It is all so exciting! I just can't wait until the whole area is covered.

 HAPPY PI DAY!!!!
No, I didn't spell the word wrong. Pi (3.14) is a math number. Since today is March 14th (3/14) it is pi day! In the Hoffman household we are having egg pie for breakfast. What kind of pi are you going to eat to celebrate?

Yes, I am a total math nerd.

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... I'm so excited for spring break? Who isn't?

2. The truth is... Josh has a break from school next week as well. It's even better because we can spend some time together.

3. The truth is... Josh and I wanted to go to the Grand Canyon (and ride the railway) for Spring Break. However, we can't find someone to watch Jack Jack. It's ok, we never know when my sister Wendi will go into labor.

4. The truth is... Josh has passed the first part of his A+ exam. Let's hope he can now pass the second part!

5. The truth is... Josh planted grass seed in our yard today. I hope that it grows!!!

Why do birds have to.....

I guess that I should preface this whole post with the fact that Jack Jack has a love/hate relationship with birds. Well, I think he does anyway. He used to bark at them and chase them. When you caught him doing this it was totally entertaining. It was also extremely cute! Anyway, I think that he has become friends with birds because now he allows them to eat and drink out of his food bowl when he's outside. They take him for granted because they also poop in his water! I know, it is totally gross. Well, the birds have overrun their love from Jack Jack, well I hope so anyway. They have now messed with me! Here's the story.
The weather has been amazing lately and since my piano lessons are within walking distance of my house, I walk to lessons on Saturday and Thursday. I would walk on Monday but I won't walk in the dark by myself. Anyway, while I was on my way to lessons on Thursday, a bird (that was sitting on the light post I was about to walk under) decided to make me his target practice. Yep, right on the head. I KNOW! It was totally gross. It was a good thing that I wasn't too far from home. I went home, washed it out as best as a could, then went to lessons. Let's just say that I am now afraid to walk under this light post.

Here's another thought. I know I don't have a facebook account but I do look on Josh's every once in awhile. As I was reading some posts a few minutes ago I asked myself  "why am I reading this?" Do I really care to know what you had for dinner or to read the conversation between you and your husband? Seriously? What's the point? What is the joy of reading about everyone's every move and thought? It doesn't make sense. I'll probably stop reading because it doesn't make sense anymore!
