Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... bus duty when it is a vary rainy week really is not fun.

2. The truth is... I finally got my hair cut. Well, I got a trim, not much is different.

3. The truth is... the last time I got my hair cut was at the end of June. Pathetic... I know

4. The truth is... We got a quite on our garage the other day. It's not looking good. We have to get a new door and motor. That will cost us around $1000. I just hope our taxes will pay for it.

5. The truth is... Josh and I are going on a real vacation over Spring Break! Well, we are planning on it but it depends on our taxes (yet again).

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... I'm very excited that it was my first day back to work and it is already TUESDAY! What a great way to start off the week.

2. The truth is... my students are awesome at solving two-step equations. (EX: 2x+3=5)

3. The truth is... School started for Josh today. Hopefully he'll have a good semester!

4. The truth is... I'm very excited to get our back (and front) yard to my liking. If you ask me, it's taking too long. What else can you do when you have little time and money?

5. The truth is... Someone is coming to give us an estimate on our garage on Thursday. FINALLY! A place to park my car (if it isn't too much).

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... I miss taking college classes

2. The truth is... I'm starting an online class at MCC after Spring Break. I hope that I can balance that and teaching at the same time. I'll be really busy.

3. The truth is... I was hoping I earned enough credits to move up on the pay scale for next year. However... I'm a little short. This sucks!

4. The truth is... I have bad luck with pencil sharpeners. I've had 2 electric so far this year. They are too cheap and keep breaking.

5. The truth is... My car is finally fixed. Now my drivers side blinker is not working. Will this ever end?

Waisting Away

I think awhile ago that I pictures of what I looked like before I started to lost weight and what I look like now. If you ask me... its a HUGE difference.
Every Sunday we have dinner with my mom's side of the family. I grew up seeing my cousins everyday and I will admit that I am jealous of some of their lives. I think part of the reason was because I was (and still am) a lot bigger than all of them. I hated it and while driving home Josh had to console me and make me feel better. I couldn't even fit into some of the shorts I bought the year before. Josh openly admitted that I needed to lose some weight and I will be a lot happier if I did. SO... I went on the Weight Watchers diet. (By the way.. I should mention really quick that when I told Karen Josh told me I was heavy she asked "and you didn't get mad?" I said "no" because I knew it.) Was it hard? Yes. It helped that for awhile Wendi was on it as well. There was some support but not much. I just had to do it by myself. Karen wanted to know "how did you stick to it?" Well... I guess that I just knew that it would help out a lot if I did start to lose some weight and that I would be a little happier with how I looked. It was really hard and frustrating in the beginning but I got used to it after awhile. The hardest part of all was cutting down on sweets as well as portions.
Here I am in May of 2009. I started my diet at the beginning of June. When I did start I was at 185 and I weighed about 15 pounds more than Josh. I was kind of crushed. That also gave me some motivation.

This is a picture of me in November 2009. By that time I pretty much decided that I hit a plateau in my weight loss and it isn't a huge issue anymore. Yeah I still want to lose a few more pounds but I do like where I'm at now.- 157 Now I weigh 10 pounds less than Josh. It's so awesome!
Have you done the math? I've lost a total of 28 pounds. It took about6 months but the best things in life don't come easy. I will admit that on top of the diet I also did pilates everyday as well as used Nivea My Silhouette. If you ever go on a diet... I suggest using it.
Well just have to see what happens in a few years after I have a baby! Life will change a lot. I just hope that I can have the same motivation to lose my baby weight after I have one!

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... my car decided to give us an awesome new years present. Yeah, the heater core is leaking and it will take about 6 1/2 hours to fix. It's the second time in 6 months. I think I need a new car.

2. The truth is... I'm half tempted to buy the new 2010 Toyota Highlander. It's my dream car and my current car SUCKS!

3. The truth is... I've had to bum rides home with coworkers the past two days. It kind of sucks.

4. The truth is... yesterday was mine and Josh's two year anniversary. I wanted to have a nice dinner and just be together. Yeah right. By the time I got home I didn't want to do anything. Pathetic... I know.

5. The truth is... yesterday was also my first day back to school. I'm so not used to walking around that I had "growing pains" in my legs last night. That is probably why I was too lazy to do anything for our anniversary.

Eagar Trip

For one of Karen's Christmas presents I told her that Josh and I were going to visit her in Eagar. So the day she left to go home, we followed her up. It wasn't that eventful but it was great to be able to hang out with her and her family. We were there for about 2 days, which was enough for me because it was cold and there. While there Karen and I went after-Christmas shopping (which isn't THAT exciting in Eagar), put together a lot of toys, listened to Kaiden whine (a lot), watched Alvin and the Chipmunks, and made a "snowman". It was fun, but like I said, I was ready to come home. I should mention that it took us about 4 hours to put together 3 of the biggest toys. We had some major issues. I even sacrificed myself (I got a few scrapes and cuts) while putting together the kitchen. Raegan should feel loved.

Josh trying to put together the kitchen. It took too long to put together. The kids did really like it though... even Kaiden.

The finished Kitchen.

The finished tool bench.

Kaiden was really excited to put all the toys together. He really wanted to help, which kind of got annoying. Putting together the kitchen was one HUGE adventure. Anyway, in the end Kaiden wanted to play with the kitchen instead of the tool bench. One of the best comments he made the whole trip was "mom I want to be a girl so I can play with the kitchen." So funny.

Cute little Raegan. She actually like the tool bench as much as her kitchen. Karen's kids are weird.

Josh relaxing after putting together toys by being a dog and digging in the snow.

Our wimpy snowman. The snow wouldn't stay together like it should have. So... we made more of a snow pile with a face. It was still pretty fun playing in the snow (for about 5 minutes).

Christmas 2009

Our First (I mean second) Christmas together was great! It was also really but it was crazy as well. When we woke up we got dressed and ready for the day ahead of us. We then opened up our gifts and then over to my parents house for Christmas with the Pratt family and my parents. I don't have any of those pictures yet (I didn't think that we needed too many cameras going off at the same time because the flashes might eventually blind us even more. Anyway, here are some picture of my and Josh opening up our presents. It was very exciting. By the way... I even sat on my traditional goose rug I used to sit on as a kid. It was awesome!

Here is a picture of me with the stockings I made. They are not done yet. I guess I should say that is one of my goals for 2010. I guess I felt weird writing mom and dad on the stockings when we are not a mom or dad yet. I may have to wait on that part. We'll see!

Josh opening his stocking. He was very excited for some of the stuff he got in there. Too bad the chocolates I got were no good.

I also got Josh the Big City Slider Station you can find in most stores "As seen on TV" area. He really wanted it. We actually used it on Tuesday this week. The food was really good and fun to eat! I cannot wait to use it again!

This is me with the most anticipated gift of the year! I got a new MP3 player. I actually think that Josh was more excited about it than I was. It was smaller than I had hoped but it works and I really like it. I have about 350 songs on it right now and a lot more space left. (It is 8 GB) The MP3 player was very useful when we went to Eagar and will be while I'm on prep at school!

Me and my new Cricut Cartridge. I was very excited to get 3 new ones this year. It's so exciting! I've already used most of them!

Josh got a set of flashlights and headlamps from my parents. He really only wanted the headlamps because they are usually about $15.00 but they came free in a pack of flashlights. The pack was about $10.00. I bought it for him but I had to take it back because my parents had bought it for him... I didn't think he wanted that many headlights. They may come in handy while going to the bathroom while camping. we'll have to see on that one.
