Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... I hope that I make it through the next three weeks. It's going to be tough trying to get my students to actually think straight.

2. The truth is... Josh's day off was yesterday. He didn't do much for his day off. I think it was more disappointing for me than him.

3. The truth is... I love coming home to Friends on TV. It makes my day.

4. The truth is... I love teaching piano lessons. I do have a inter recital coming up and I'm nervous. I haven't been teaching my students long.

5. The truth is... I think I went overboard on presents this year. I need to stop buying them (or making them in some cases).

Thankful

I hate saying this, but I guess I should say "Happy Thanksgiving" to everyone. I know I shouldn't hate saying it but I really do, it sounds so lame. Merry Christmas does too. I know, I'm weird and depressing. To me, it just sound really weird. Anyway, since it is Thanksgiving I wanted to list off a few things that I am extra thankful for this year.

Josh- I don't think any other guy could put up with me as well as he does. As Paula says all the Randy and Patsy girls have the "Baker girl crazy" and he deals with it very well. I really do appreciate that. I'm glad that he is my eternal companion and the perfect match for me.

Jack Jack- I will admit that I was really hesitant to get a cute dog at first but I think that it was love at first sight. Everyday he keep me and Josh entertained and he keeps me company during Josh's long nights at school. I love him to pieces and cannot wait to celebrate our first Christmas with him. Yes, we even got him presents.

My amazing family- What can I say, I just don't know what I would do without them. Especially my mom and dad... they are too amazing!

My wonderful home!- I love my house. I will admit that I am sick of how messy it is and I sometimes wish it was a little different but I still love it. I am so very thankful that Josh and I were able to buy our home when we did. I couldn't imagine still living in an apartment, especially with Jack Jack(he's spoiled because he has a backyard to himself).

Jobs- I know that both Josh and I get frustrated with our jobs at times but I am thankful for them. It is so nice to be able to be have something, especially during this time. This also includes my piano teaching job. I love the piano, although I don't practice much.

The Gospel- To be perfectly honest, I don't know where I would be without it. It actually scares me to think about it as well. I'm thankful that I have it in my life, especially the blessing of being able to be with my family for eternity. It is so awesome that you can be with them forever, even if they sometimes drive you crazy!

Crafts- They keep me occipuied and stop me from going crazy a lot of the time. I love being able to make things to decorate my home with. (I have three more up and coming, so stay tuned!)

Music- I don't think I would ever get anything accomplished without it. It keeps me going even when I don't want to do anything.

I am thankful for so many things I cannot post them. The post would be way too long! These are the main things I'm thinking about on this wonderful Turkey Day! I hope you have a great one, I know I will!

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... Josh and I are going to our own families this Thanksgiving. Yes, I will be my own person at the Baker family dinner. It will be weird. (please don't ask why... it's a long story.)

2. The truth is... I am in much need of the 5-day weekend that I get. Yes! Time to relax (kind of).

3. The truth is... Wendi, my mom, dad, and I had a yard sale on Saturday. I made about $115. It was awesome! The best part is that I got rid of a lot of junk!

4. The truth is... Josh's last final is tomorrow. Then he gets two weeks off! I can't wait to spend that time with him.

5. The truth is... I can't wait to go out on Black Friday. I love it when Karen comes down for Thanksgiving because I have a shopping partner!

Disneyland- Day 2

Day two was the Disneyland Day. The hotel was full of a lot of energy from all of the kids. It was so cute! Getting the kids to actually sit down for breakfast was a lot of fun. Mickey stopped by in the middle of the night and gave each kid a present. They each got a lunchbox, which was the prefect size for snacks. Emma didn't, she actually got a little stuffed Dumbo. Once our stomachs were full it was time for the walk over to Disneyland!
Kaiden and Raegan trying to eat come Captain Crunch for breakfast.

Alyssa and Bryant eating their food as well.

Kaiden with his Handy Manny lunchbox. Boys got Handy Manny.

The girls got princess. They were a huge hit! Everyone loved them!

Emma and her little stuffed Dumbo that she got from Mickey.
Once we were ready, it was off we go to the Happiest Place on Earth. We walked over to the parking area (we were right behind the parking structure) and took the tram from there over to Disneyland. It worked out well, but we were tired because the walk was far.
Walking to the parking garage area to catch the tram.

On the tram. Look at Kaidens face, it is awesome!

Cute Alyssa loved the tram. Once again, Kaiden's face is awesome!
The kids actually thought that the tram ride was the best part. Typical kids, they are awesome. Upon entering Disneyland most of the crew went to the Matterhorn. The rest of us (mom, Paula, Wendi, Josh, and I) stayed with those that were not big enough and got some fast passes for Space Mountain. We then met up at Dumbo and went on that.
Kaelyn, ready to enter Disneyland for her day of fun!

Walking through the turntables with our tickets.
Walking down Main Street. Why I'm pushing the stroller, I'm not sure. Josh and I pretty much pushed that one the most, it was our favorite.
Bryant and Emma on their first ride. Wendi was worried about Alyssa going on it but she loved it!

Waiting in line for Dumbo.

Posing in a dumbo. A perfect picture opportunity.

Me and Josh riding Dumbo.
After Dumbo we went over to the Carousel (I think Raegan's favorite ride) and then had a few photo opportunities and then went to the Peter Pan ride. I think that was our longest wait in line, which really wasn't that bad.
Doug trying to pull the sword from the stone. Notice Sara trying to climb on it.
Josh trying to have a cup of tea.

Me and cute Raegan waiting in line for Peter Pan. I love this picture!

This picture is cute too. It's something to do while waiting for the Peter Pan ride!

Sara waiting in line for the Peter Pan ride. This picture is really cute too!
After Peter Pan we went to the Alice and Wonderland ride, then the Tea Cups. I had the wonderful privelege of riding on the Tea Cups with Raegan and Kaiden. They had a blast. I wish there could have been a camera on them because they were laughing so hard. After the Tea Cups it was over to It's a Small World.
The bear at It's a Small World. Notice the glasses. When we rode by the next day he no longer had sunglasses on. We went by on the perfect day.

Alyssa enjoying It's a Small World. All the kids really liked it. I had Kam with me and he kept dancing to the music.

About to exit from It's a Small World.

After it's a Small World we traveled on over to Tomorrowland. We went to Buzz Lightyears Astroblasters and then stopped for a few moments to rest and eat lunch.
The Three Musketeers walking over to Tomorrowland.

Raegan tired from walking was able to catch a ride on dad's shoulders.

Me and Kam waiting in line for the Buss Lightyear ride.

I love this picture of Kaiden and Bryant playing the game. Kaiden is so much on the edge of his seat he's standing up!

Rand was totally in the game. Notice how you can barely see Raegan's head. I wonder how she did trying to defeat Zurg.

Raegan looking cute while waiting for her lunch.
While we were eating lunch Bryant and Jay were able to become Jedi Apprentices. It was fun to watch them in action.
Jay at the Jedi Academy.

Bryant in action, learning how to use his lightsaber.
After lunch we split up again and most of the older people went on Space Mountain while those who couldn't, or didn't, want to go went on the Monorail. Going up there was insane. By the time we were getting on the Monerail, those who went on Space mountain were already off. It was crazy! The kids did love going on it. Sara was really relaxed.
The crew riding in the monorail.

Sara relaxed and having fun on the monorail.
After all that we went back to the hotel for some time to rest. We wanted the kids to sleep but that didn't happen. They just played, which was kind of nice. While most people were taking a nap, Josh, Wendi, Karen, and I finished the autograph books for dinner. They did turn out really cute. At 5, we went over to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. They kids were able to meet a lot of characters. My favorite food there was probably the dessert and the peanut butter and jelly pizza. It needed more jelly, but still pretty good.
Waiting to be seated at Goofy's Kitchen.

Alyssa and Goofy and Goofy's Kitchen.

Alyssa, Bryant, and Sara with the Fairy Godmother.
Wendi and Emma got sick while eating dinner so they went back to the hotel with most of the crew. After that we split up and did our own thing. Josh and I actually went back to Disneyland and walked around. We went on Pirates and did a little shopping. Josh bought be a rose that lights up. The colors even change, its awesome.
Day 3, coming later... we will see what happens!

I want this

The aide that come into my first hour found this clock in a catalog she got. I don't know why but I totally want it! I thought about making it but we will have to see what happens.

**By the way, I started another Disneyland post but my computer is lame and it never saved. I'll try to get another one soon because after that I need to post about Halloween and the zoo! Ahh!!! I don't have time. HAHA That's a little weird since I just posted about the coolest clock EVER!

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... I just discovered that the 99 cent only store sells Sunday newspapers for a dollar... with the coupons!

2.The truth is... the cooler air makes Jack Jack even more hyper. It is actually kind of entertaining.

3. The truth is... Josh will soon get a few weeks of school off until he starts his next session. The bad part: he start the next session before Christmas.

4. The truth is... Josh has to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas. It sucks but I think we'll survive. I'm hoping for holiday pay but you never know.

5. The truth is... One of my students made my day last week. They mentioned to me that every Friday in December is a half day. YES!!! I love half-day Friday's!

YEA!

I finally started posting about Disneyland. Scroll down to see day one (Sunday). I will post more... eventually. I do have good news! I finished another project. I have two more that I want to finish. We will have to see how long it will take for those. I've been dreaming of making this for months and I finally made it!
I actually saw this on a craft blog and had to duplicate it. Thanks Josh and dad for helping me to cut the wood!
Also, I really want a piece of the chocolate cake again. I had it while I was in Sacramento this summer. I ordered it through room service at the hotel. It was beautiful and delicious. I actually shared with my roommate!
Mmm... so tasty!

Disneyland- Day 1

I decided that since I have a lot of pictures, I'll post them in days. I'm not going to do anything for the last day because it would be pointless. We went back to the beach and drove. I know, pretty boring. I will post beach pictures for day one because we went to the beach on Sunday but it was dark. We didn't get much good pictures. Besides, it will force me to post something other than a Tuesday Truths.
First we had the car ride. It was a really long drive. We took 2 cars (not including Darbie and Chad's van). One was the suburban my parents just bought from my aunt and uncle and then we rented a 15 passenger van. All the kids rode there in the van. They were pretty happy. Mom and dad were in the van the whole time while the other adults would switch off. We had three t.v.'s in the van but only 2 of them really worked. The little babies didn't care to watch a movie so that was okay. Josh and I were in the van first, it took him about the first 30 minutes of the trip to get the t.v.'s situated. I felt bad but I know that I couldn't have done it.
Raegan keeping herself occupied in the car by decorating herself with princess stickers.
We stopped in Quart Site for lunch and a fill up on gas. It was after about 3 hours of travel so it worked out pretty well. Even I needed a break. While there we switched the car seats around to make it easier for kids to watch movies and play together in the car. We also switched who rode in the van with the kids. It ws Karen and Kam's turn.
Waiting for parents to catch up to buy some tasty McDonald's lunch.
Eating lunch! Well, trying to eat lunch. The kids were too hyper to really eat anything.
After a few more hours of travel we stopped at the World's Largest Dinosaur place. It was totally awesome. I wanted to take the kids in the brontosaurus because it is a gift shop but it was really small. That many people would make it crazy in there. The kids did have fun stretching and playing on the different dinosaur things.
Alyssa playing on the Lochness Monster head. Doug picked up all the kids and let them climb on it a little. I'm not really sure what it is, but to me it is the Lochness Monster.

Look that that HUGE T-Rex! Josh said that you used to be able to go inside him, but it is closed now.
Kaiden being eaten by a large T-Rex head. He looks surprisingly calm for being eaten alive!
Once we finally made it to Anaheim we went to the beach. It was dark when we went there, which is why we went back on Thursday before going home. The kids loved it and got completely wet although we didn't have swimsuits on. They also had a ton of fun looking for shells. I'll admit, even Josh and I had fun looking for shells.
Alyssa showing everyone how to find shells.
Emma showing off the shells that she found.
Me and Raegan. She was afraid of the water, yet she wanted me to go in all the time. It was freezing!
Kaiden running away from a huge wave coming in.
Bryant actually fell in Sunday night. Then he decided (on the way back to the car) that he was going to make a sand angel.. Yeah, he was covered in sand. That poor van got a run for its money!
Wendi and Kaelyn enjoying the beautiful scenery. Thanks Wendi for thinking about bringing some towels. They really helped!
After the beach we went back to the hotel for Little Caesar's Pizza and to rest up for the next day. Disneyland here we come!
