Temple Trip

At the end of August Josh and I took Tori down to the Mesa Temple for the first time. I know, it's hot in August but it was actually a beautiful, rainy morning. Tori had never been to the temple before and had never sat in grass. I know, its a little pathetic since she was almost 9 months at the time. She really loved the water fountains (they were actually turned on) and had a lot of fun taking pictures. I hope to go back soon and possibly get some more cute pictures of my little girl. (And maybe some of our family!) I rpobably should mention that she hated the grass, I'm not sure why.

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... I went to the doctor on Friday because my wrist has been hurting for a long time. I guess I have write tendonitis. I wear a brace most of the time and I have to do some exercises. Hopefully it gets better because if it doesn't in a few weeks I'll have to start physical therapy. YUCK!

2. The truth is...Tori and I are going to meet Josh on his lunch break today. I'm a little nervous because we are going to meet his coworkers as well. I think Tori is excited, she didn't take a long nap.

3. The truth is... I really need to update my blog, we have done so many things within the last month and I haven't posted them. Maybe I will do just a TON of posts in one day... wait for it, it will probably come soon.

4. The truth is... Tori has finally started the beginning stages of crawling. She will get on her hands and knees and shake her bottom. It's so cute to see that when she first wakes up in the morning (or from a nap).

5. The truth is... I have to teach in Relief Society on Sunday. It's just going to be something short of visiting teaching. Since it is the 5th Sunday we are having a visiting teaching conference and we are going to try to get as many women in as possible. I guess that's what happens when your the new visiting teaching coordinator. I don't even know what I'm going to say! I'm getting nervous!

Tuesday Truths

1. The truth is... I had a complete meltdown yesterday. Tori was teething really bad and wouldn't eat or do anything. I was tired and didn't feel good (physically and emotionally). Yeah, I feel bad, but I also know that it's bound to happen every once in awhile.

2. The truth is... Josh woke up really early this morning because his anxiety kicked in. He doesn't know why it did, it just happened. I think it was due to a dream he was having. I feel terrible because he has such a late night tonight due to class.

3. The truth is... I can't wait to see my older sister Karen this weekend. I miss her.

4. The truth is... Josh and I are going to get a zoo membership. I'm so stinking EXCITED!

5. The truth is... Tori's new room will be decorated in bugs. I love the idea! We are hoping to have her makeshift crib as well as her whole room done by the end of the year so we can start the transition before the baby comes. Hopefully she then won't feel as though the baby is taking over her room (and bed) because she will have a new one.

Big Decision

So, although it is a HUGE pain for people, I've decided to go private. This will begin October first. If you want to be invited, leave a comment (and your email if you don't think I have it) so I can invite you. I will check back frequently for comments with emails and then delete them after. I've been debating about it since we had Tori but I have finally made that decision. Hopefully I won't regret it (although I doubt that I will).

9 Months

I cannot believe that my little girl turned 9 months yesterday. It's so crazy to think about! We went to the doctor this morning and she is happy and healthy. Well, she's at least healthy. She had to get 2 more shots and then they tested her iron levels in her blood. She didn't like those at all! (I wouldn't either.) She now weighs 19 pounds 9 ounce (gained a pound in 1 month), is 30 inches tall and her head circumference is 1825 inches. She is big!
She still hasn't started moving yet, but she does LOVE her walker. When she gets fussy and its not nap time we visit the walker. She knows exactly where Jack Jack's dishes are and plays hokey with them. Yep, water everywhere. We are trying to teach her to stay away. Hopefully she learns soon! She now has 2 teeth on the bottom (they FINALLY broke through) and I think she is getting another one on the top. Josh still can't see the teeth on the bottom, but they are there, and when she bites, they hurt! She loves eating real food. She is always so proud of herself when she gets to eat our food with us. It has made eating at the dinner table 20 billion times easier because she gets to eat the same food (well, most of the same food anyway). She has dropped the amount of milk she eats and doesn't like baby food much anymore. The doctor said we may see a decrease in weight because she will move soon and she isn't eating much. We will have to wait and see what happens though. Here are some pictures of our happy little girl!
