Don't get me wrong I love teaching except when students act like this:Monday we had a substitute because our teacher had the flu. I was called Sunday night and had plenty of warning. I went ahead and taught all of the classes. First and second period went by with no problem. Third period was really difficult because I haven't really taught honors before. They behaved well for me and they actually understood the concept... I hope. I It was fun teaching them. We learned the quadratic formula which can be hard but really easy at the same time. The trouble came with fourth period. I've always had a hard time with that class but then again so has our teacher. It is the largest class therefore they are really hard to control. As I went on to teach the lesson life got worse and they were completely our of control. Because they were so bad they just did worksheets on Tuesday instead of playing a game. I didn't teach them on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. I needed a break. Oh yeah, just so you know, we also had a substitute on Wednesday because the teacher was out. I already knew he was going to be gone and it was easy because we had a test that day.
Other than that it was an easy week for me. I am going to say this again and I probably will say it many other times over the next few weeks but I love what I do. I admit that I come home tired at times but the students are a lot of fun. I couldn't imagine a better student teaching experience. I just cannot believe that it is almost over! I only have ten days left. It is going to be hard to leave.

I have a great song for your students to learn the formula. It is a song to the tune of "Are you sleeping"
negative B, negative B
plus or minus sqare root, plus or minus sqare root
B squared minus 4 A C, B squared minus 4 A C
All over 2 A, All over 2 A
I will never use the formula again, but I will always know it!
Cute song Paula! What do you mean by "out of control"? I have never taught mid-school, but there has to be a solution!!
